RecipeScaler is a recipe-scaling and meal-planning app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have — including how to delete your account.
Who we are
RecipeScaler is operated by an independent developer. Contact: reipescaler3345@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address, used to sign you in (via an email link/code or Google sign-in). We never receive or store your password.
- Content you create — recipes you add, scan, or import; photos you add to recipes; meal plans; saved recipes; your pantry; and app settings. Stored so it syncs across your devices.
- Images and links you submit to AI features — when you use “Scan a Dish” or “Import from a link”, the photo or web address you provide is sent to our server and then to our AI provider to generate a recipe.
We do not collect your contacts, location, or advertising identifiers, and the app contains no ads.
How we use your information
- To provide the core features — signing you in, saving and syncing your recipes and plans, building shopping lists.
- To generate recipes from a photo or a web link when you use the AI features.
- To keep your data private to your own account.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Third-party services
- Supabase — secure database, authentication, and file storage for your account and content. See supabase.com/privacy.
- OpenAI — powers “Scan a Dish” and AI import. The photo or page text you submit is sent to OpenAI to produce a recipe; per its API terms this data is not used to train their models. See openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.
- Pexels — supplies the stock food photography shown on recipes. See pexels.com/privacy-policy.
How your data is protected
- All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
- Access is restricted per user: security rules ensure you can only read and write your own recipes, photos, and plans.
Delete your account
How to request deletion
Email reipescaler3345@gmail.com from the email address you use to sign in, with the subject Delete my account. Sending it from your account email lets us verify it’s really you — no password or payment details are ever needed.
What gets deleted: your account and email address, every recipe you added/scanned/imported, photos you added, and your meal plans, saved recipes, pantry, and settings. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone; we keep no copy afterward.
How long it takes: we delete your account and associated data within 30 days of your request. None of your data is ever sold or used for advertising.
Children’s privacy
RecipeScaler is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
